ARE YOU CONSIDERING TAPE IN EXTENSIONS? Well, do I have a treat for ya. I honestly can say that this has been my favorite methods of all time extension's. Why? Because quick and easy to install, cause no damage if used properly, and instantly turn you full glam and make you feel amazing about yourself. Seriously, all my clients are already saying how they can't live without them!I recently added some pink into mine! There are so many methods out there in this beauty industry, ...Sew-In Hair Extensions/Weaves. ...Fusion & Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions. ...Micro-Link Hair Extensions. ...Wigs & Hair Pieces. ...Clip-in Hair Extensions and Natural Beaded Row. Which is something I will offer in the future.

I am super impressed with Hairtalk tape in extensions. They are 100% human remy hair. All my current clients rant and rave about them. I LOVE how I can go from short hair to sexy full Voluminous hair! Seriously, after having Oliver my hair is left me. You know thats just one of those thing's  they don't tell you about having a baby. I will be sharing with you come helpful tips about Tape-In Extensions......

Here's how there attached:   The weft is about 1.6"-4cm long, I create sandwiched 20-40 (depends on hair) between the two extension tracks, and adhered together. They are bonded with medical grade tape. Typical weft glue usually only lasts 2-3 weeks, but the tape-in method lasts around 2 months. You can still swim and exercise regularly. However you want to make sure you rinse out any sweat. Heres some information I gathered for you all to see if you are the right candidate for extra hair.

TAPE-IN  are designed to create a fuller effect, for long luxurious hair. Transform your look instantly with our tape-in Remy Human hair in under an hour. Flawlessly create length, volume and dynamic color effects while looking completely natural. Our adhesive wefts are made of a medical grade adhesive that causes no tension and feels completely flat on the head.

Styling. You can still pull your hair into ponytails, braids, half-up, half-down styles. You want to make sure you apply a blow dry protecting cream, just like you would your own hair. If you have natural curly hair, you want to make sure you blow dry your hair and not let it airdry. Brush your hair 2 times a day. Morning and night. You can use any hot tools you wish to use. However the more higher the heat the more your likely to damage your hair. Here on the right I added POPS OF COLOR for the summer! Great way to add fun colors without having to bleach your own hair!

Comfort. The first couple of days were slightly uncomfortable (especially sleeping). The hair extension tracks were attached close to my scalp, so my scalp was sensitive. Nothing that kept me up at night though.

Potential hair loss issues. According to facts, the only hairs in jeopardy are the strands sandwiched between the extensions. We lose an average of 100 individual strands of hair a day(that can vary if you brunette or red-head), so comparatively, even the worst-case scenario damage wouldn’t be too big of a deal.

Upkeep. Don’t wash them very often. I honestly wash my hair maybe once a week. It keeps my natural oils on them and keeps them healthier. I also use Unite haircare on them at least once a day which helps to keep them soft.

Here are some HELPFUL TIPS:

  • Sleep in a ponytail or a loose braid to keep the extensions from matting.

  • Use sulfate free shampoo.

  • Use Extension Brush on your hair twice a day.

  • Don’t use product with alcohol. ( This will cause it to dry and break)

  • Don’t let your hair dry naturally if you have curly hair.

  • You will  buy new hair about every 9 months to a year depending on the brand and such.

  • Be gently on your hair!                Tape-ins have been a great investment for me. I find myself putting less heat on my hair, actually takes me less time to get ready each day, and I can braid my hair or wear it in so many more fun ways. Washing my hair and blow-drying take a significantly longer amount of time, but it’s so worth it. I can’t imagine going back to clip-ins ever again!
